ABOUT US

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Continuing Education Application and Research Center (BEUNSEM) was founded on April 9, 2001 under the Rectorate of the University within the framework of Law No. 2547. In accordance with its founding objectives, our Centre organises and coordinates activities such as pre-service, in-service and post-service courses, training programmes, symposiums, exams, etc. for the public sector, private sector, our students, academic and administrative staff and the public. In addition to the studies carried out so far thanks to the infrastructure we have and our competent academic staff, our Centre will continue to work with determination in order to organise all kinds of education and training activities that our stakeholders may need in the future.

MISSION AND VISION

Continuing education is defined as ‘lifelong learning activity to improve knowledge, skills and competences in terms of personal, communal, social and employment’. The aim of continuing education is to enable all citizens to adapt to the knowledge-based society and to control their lives, to participate actively in all phases of economic and social life.

MISSION

Our aim is to be a unit that is recognized in our country and in our region, followed by its activities and appreciated for the services it provides. It is among our duties to carry out and complete all activities in the service area of our Centre in a qualified and effective manner, to provide services that will respond to the conditions and demands of the day and to ensure the emergence of effective and useful products while providing these services. As the Centre, our mission is to provide sustainable and stable revenues by considering the satisfaction of the sector we serve and fulfilling our social responsibilities.

VISION

Our vision is to provide qualified trainings on the subjects that our country, region and especially our province need and to make the individuals and institutions that our country needs more effective by organising current, effective and useful activities that will ensure the development of individuals and institutions through these trainings.
